Background

I was assigned this project as the UI/UX designer/developer to create additional pages for the mobile/tablet app. The goal of these additional pages was to create an easy way for the Ford sales team to capture the user’s interest in purchasing or leasing a vehicle during event shows across the country.

The biggest challenge I faced throughout this project was creating an application that could scale as we added more vehicles under a tight deadline.

User Research

Video interviews with sales team to find out the user criteria they would be gathering and the vehicle make/model to feature on the selection page.

User Testing/Feedback

We released the app to the sales team for testing prior to the first auto show event. Feedback was positive. We did encounter a couple bugs on the backend as users would upload the leads at the end of the day. Some uploads were not completed due to WiFi and other issues. There was no error messaging displayed to inform the user. To solve for this we added error messaging alerting the user if and how many leads had been successfully uploaded. This would provide confirmation of exactly how many leads were uploaded successfully, and if they need to re-upload any.
